- Availability and Identification: This driver seems to be quite rare. I can’t find it easily online, and there’s no barcode or serial number on the unit. However, I have photos to share (I’ll attach them below). Can anyone confirm if this is indeed an Alpair 11 MS Gen 2, and when it might have been released? Mark Audio’s official site doesn’t provide much detail on this specific variant.
- Mono System Setup: Since finding a matching pair is difficult, I’m considering using it in a mono configuration. I have an Aiyima T9 Pro tube amplifier (stereo, 2 x 38W @ 8 ohm). How can I safely set up a mono system with this single driver? Any advice on wiring (e.g., combining channels, adding resistors) or cabinet design (e.g., Transmission Line like Larissa TML) would be greatly appreciated.
- Finding a Pair: If possible, I’d love to find another Alpair 11 MS Gen 2 to create a stereo setup. Are there any suggestions on where to look (e.g., second-hand markets like eBay, or direct from Mark Audio)? Alternatively, would pairing it with a similar model (e.g., Alpair 11 MS or MS Gold) work, considering technical compatibility?

Looks like the real deal. They're not rare. Sometime in the recent past they went to Gen 2, maybe 2021, not sure. Dave or Scott probably know. Most of the stock dealer photo's show the original Gen 1.

Of all the drivers i have measured the MarkAudio have had the tightest measured parameters. Just get another.
Much of the Gen2 improvements were to allow for closer drivers (smaller deviations)

There is no dealer in my country to buy this device. I looked at some of the other dealers. There is no Gen2 statement on the labels. Let's see, I will continue my research.

I have tried my 11 MS with class A/B solid state (Sparkler Ether II) and it loves that pairing. Just 15 wpc.
I've also tried digital and gotten mixed results. They liked the Texas Instruments TPA based amps. They didn't seem to like more powerful Hypex based amps.
Whether kit or finished, 3e would be a good choice with their TPA based amps.
