Here's a pic of the tonearm on my beloved Garrard 301. I bought this unit about 15 years ago and was told that the arm was a Grace Arm.
Can anyone help ID this unit. It is a 12 inch double gimballed arm. The headshell and arm support were not part of the original arm.
I suspect that it's of Japanese origin and is at least 20 years old.

Looks more like the AT arms, but lacking the black anodizing that the gimbals usually have. There were quite a few companies producing (or at least selling) arms rather similar to it, with the split counterweight and out riggers on the counterweights, so it might be hard to nail it down. My impression is that when antiskating and cuing became neccessities, some of these companies disappeared.
You should really submit your picture to the vinylengine as such then. The hosting of the tonearm database has been really helpful for me in knowing the alignments and what not. It's always nice to have an image to go with it.
