I'm building a sealed enclosure for my jl audio 10w6v3 subwoofer. All the information can be found here
10W6v3-D4 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - W6v3 - JL Audio
it calls for .55 cu ft for space. The box I designed with the bracing included comes in at .5568. I've been reading about sound deadening the back of the box. Do I have to change the size of the box if I add sound deadening? I saw a box with mineral wool on the back. Here's the link. I can get mineral wool at work if this is the rout to go.
My bracing looks like that except it is a single box. I can add or subtract space at .008165 per 1/8 to the back.
So should I add or subtract to add deadening to the back or is it better to go completely around the box with something thinner?
Or am I way over complicating this... Thanks for any input.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Since this is a car subwoofer related question I moved this thread to the car audio forum where I think it is more likely to get answers than where it was originally slated to go.
Ok thank you. I wasn't sure if building a box went under construction haha🙄
Hi,
Your only option for tuning is the amount of stuffing.
For sealed you completely fill the box, no wall lining.
rgds, sreten.

The box isn't built yet so your saying just go with as close to .55 (a jl audio recommended enclosure size) and stuff the box? I don't have to change the size of the enclosure to compensate for using stuffing?
