I am new to DIY audio.

I am planning to get these and build these.

What amplifier do you plan to use?

For now I have a mini Class D amp with 50W per channel. In the future I would like to try something like a valve amp kit or this

Well I was planning to build a pair of Frugel-Horns, but I discovered they are corner loaded and I could not guarantee that I could put them in corners. I had read a comment by you that those speakers have the potential for good bass due to the greater excursion, they also had a very interesting cabinet design. Part of this whole exercise is I wanted to build an interesting cabinet. And that was that.

Except for some low Q drivers like FE166/168 near a wall is all that is required.

Not using corners typically means less damping required.

I might stick with the multi-chamber enclosures, but the Frugel can be a future project.
