Just thought I'd say hello to everyone 🙂
I've been building speakers since the late 70s. It's a necessity as my house has a way of making the best speakers sound dire. So it's was a case of make your own or get another house...
Unfortunately my excellent crossover design skills are let down by dreadful cabinet making skills. So, I've spent the last 20 years with 'tweaked' commercial speakers. Recently I've decided it's time to move on, so my ageing speakers are being revamped. Eventually they will be three way with a SEAS L22, Morel EM1308 and SEAS 22TAFG.
Currently the mid an tweeter are in place with the original Audax TPX bass. It all sounds incredibly good - my crossover is working well. The Audax is a bit tubby so it will be a relief when the L22s arrive (been on order three weeks...).
A long intro, but at least you know what I'm doing with my spare time 😉
