I am not very DIY but I am keen on getting set-up right and have alot of experience doing system installs.
I do do alot of rebuilding but the ideas only - I don't do the work anymore. Inattention and being forgetful are a bad combo near tube amps.
I do my own basic things like cables, and can trouble shoot.

Most of my main system is old gear/ recent both with mod's. Tube amps and tube 'tuner', spherical spkrs, old Thorens TT, see Inmates at Audio Asylum.
The only unmodified item is the Nak cassette deck but it has been overhauled and tweaked.
