I'm from Quebec city, Canada. I'm planning to build a center speaker and back surround speakers to match my main speakers. I won't make them with particule board (like mdf but lesser quality) this time. As for my user name: my shoes are size 15.
Here's a little description of my system:
Main speakers: Home made Patrician 800 enclosures, (but didn't make the front decorative trims and made of particle board). Drivers are (all Electro-voice) : 30w 30" sub for bass up to around 100 Hz, SP12B 12" midrange speaker, T25A driver with 8HD dispersion horn, and T350 tweeter, crossovers are EV also.
Center and surround : Sony until I finish making new cabinets (I don't have all drivers yet)
Electronics: Sony str-de675 receiver, Panasonic DVD player, Pioneer CD player, Fisher VCR (haven't used it last 2 years), Carver M1.5T power amp (will be used when I'll decide to wire the 30W separatly from the main enclosures), dbx 120X (I rarelly use until I move out from my appartment), Marantz 3250B stereo console (not used for now), dbx 4bx (not used for a while).
tv: and old 14" tv 😕 (at least it's color).
Plans for the future:
Buying EV drivers for center and back channel (50% done), then buy apropriate crossover. Decide on enclosure and build it.
Make lamp amplifier (I find all transistor amps too noisy for my setup).
