Hi all!
My name is Andrew, I' 17. I live in Riga, Latvia. I always wanted a high-end audio system, but couldn't afford it. Which is normal I think. I didn't want to get along with low or mid class audio equipment, because I can't stand the sound distortion in the music I listen. And I listen to old school rock, such band as AC/DC, Guns'n'Roses, Metallica. But Iron Maiden is my #1. I already own a pair of DIY l-speakers, but not made by me though. While browsing the web for apropriate amp for my loudspeakres I found diyaudio.com.. I didn't realize that you could make a amp in household conditions. I was amazed.. I thought, that maybe I could find help building my first-ever project - a splitter/mixer.
Thank you if you read this!

Welcome. If you're keen enough, you can make anything at home. By the time I was your age, I had made a pick-up arm (for playing vinyl), pre-amplifier and power amplifier, loudspeaker (mono - couldn't afford stereo) and electrostatic headphones. I also had solder splashes all over my bedroom carpet...
Go for it!

Hi Andrew.
Ive just returned from a 3 week "vacation" in latvia, most of the time in Uudrande near Ventspils.
It should be relatively easy for you to make an amp, since you have acces to cheap and good components from the russian army.
Magura🙂
