Hello all:
I am a longtime electronics and computer tinkerer (going back to middle school, late 1970s), working as an electrical engineer in a different field (industrial power systems, currently for a consultant in municipal infrastructure.) I also am a hobby musician (bass, guitars, piano, synth, etc.) and used to play with bands in clubs, etc. I still do occasional session work as a musician or recording/mix engineer for friends, or my wife.
A little over a decade ago I was into designing and building tube amps for a few years. The results of that effort are mostly documented on my blog (Prairie Instrument Works)
I've read posts here for a long time when they turned up in a web search.
After a break of several years, I have been tinkering with electronics again lately, though I'm sticking with small stuff like guitar stompboxes for now. I have been revisiting some old ideas that I think may be of interest here. (They may even be original but probably not worth the cost of a patent.) I'll probably start with some posts on those.
