Hey everyone,
Stumbled across this site when checking the weblogs for my company website (www.wolfsonmicro.com).
I'm an electronics engineer by qualification but have now sold my soul to marketing for Wolfson Microelectronics - UK Based audio and imaging analogue mixed signal company (ok we make DACs and ADCs)
Have interest in all things audio, do some sound engineering in my spare time, and having a play with audio electronics is a hobby waiting for me to have the time to get into it!
Be glad to try and answer any questions you guys have on converter chips and look forward to learning from you all!
Stephen

I poked around the Wolfson site for a little while. Interesting stuff, and I'm delighted to see yet more expertise in the Forum. Thanks for joining.
Welcome
So,
After looking at the Wolfsom web site, I think I may have the first question from the forum for you.
I was looking at the WM8770 when I started to wonder if our new friend might be able to suggest a pragmatic path for a DIY stand alone AC-3, DTS decoder.
Of course I recognize that these are not DSP cores, I was hopping that perhaps you had worked with other manufactures who are doing this part and might be willing and able to work with the DIY community.
Thanks.
-Dave
