I found this forum while searching for how to make a DIY dac. I can't afford to spend $600+ on a balanced dac so hopefully, through this site, I can find something that meets my needs for half the price. I'm somewhat new to high end audio. It started with a pair of ATH-M50's and I was hooked. I still have those cans, and I also have a pair of M-Audio BX5D2's with a KRK10s sub that I use at my desk. I also have a pair of lime green Q701's on the way 😀. I've been getting the itch to upgrade my speaker system so after the DAC, a new set of monitors may be in order. We'll see.
