Hello everybody, my name is Fabio, involved in electyronics from when I
was a little boy.
I have the solartron 7060 7061 and will have probably a 7075 soon.
A datron 107x or 108x is also on the "wanted" list 🙂
I consider these old high count multimeters wonderful machines when they
function and a good learning excercise when broken.
I'm searching the calibration and service manuals for these.
I have seen the recent thread about the 7075 manual:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/equipment-tools/176670-schlumberger-solatron-7075-dmm-manual-2.html
and sent a pm
to tek7904, i hope he is still around here.
I'm searching also manuals for the 7061, seems that only Telford electronics
has one to sell, but the price is not low for me, so if anybody has a copy or
know where to ask , any advice is welcome.
If it can be of help to anyone I'll upload the roms contents on some free
manual sharing site like KO4BB's Manuals .

In attachment the 7061 complaining for the calibration that is off 🙂

My direct contact is:

Thank you.
Fabio.

What do you calibrate them against? You need a calibrator, which is more expensive than the DMM itself. And you need a tempered environment. You can cheat and tell the instrument it is calibrated, by some key presses...

I don't personally have a calibration facility, or the means to maintaint these
instruments to ppm-level accuracy they are capable of.
The highest count meter I have is the recently acquired 7061,
for some reason it had lost the cal constants (faulty eeprom? don't know yet).
I know I can cheat it, when i'll be reasonanbly sure it functions properly I'll
search for a calibrated instrument to use as comparison.

Fabio.
