i have found a nice heavy 2x32V AC toroid, approx 500VA, could be more.
what to do with it? i have enough amplifiers as it is (to think i'd ever say this..), i was thinking about an adjustable lab power supply.
Anyone got tips for a nice dual supply lab circuit or maybe something entirely different?

nice out-of-the-box thinking 😉
as a matter of fact, it is now a weighing down something glued together.
maybe parts would be a better subforum? but then again, it's me who doesn't know what to do with it, so how would i know where to open this thread....

amplifier? Probably good for 150W+150W into 4r+4r
power supply?
They each have their own subsections.

I made a nice lab supply once out of a 400 watt computer UPS transformer and it could turn a spool of 4 conductor telephone wire into a nice and powerful electromagnet.
I had a lot of fun with that thing!
I used an opamp a IRF510 and 4 X 2N3055 for the variable regulator.
And some LM3914's as a baragraph display voltage indicator.
Jer 🙂
