I have been barraged on Facebook by news of this "development" for the past two years.
I know they just got another round of financing, but to take full advantage of this technology you need a special cartridge and stylus at minimum.
The optimum geometry isn't compatible with standard vinyl.
The production process is essentially digital so I am not sure I see the point. The aspects of analog vinyl reproduction that appeal to many audiophiles will essentially be absent.
In a world where possibly 95% of the turntables sold are under $100 what's the point? (Look at Amazon for the leading sellers)
