it seems there are many speaker able to replicate the specification of legend driver
e.g ppt6.5 seem to be able replicate seas customed driver in mojo s
BlieSMA T25A -6 seem to be able replciate focal be tweeter seems to be
but has any tweeter come close to dynaudio d28 ?

They are cool, I have never heard them tho. Can anyone tell how the character differ from the Scanspeak 9500?

Only a DIY Altec 802-8G compression tweeter horn as good/better, though can't come near the D28's peak power/SPL.
Modern manufactures likely rate the drivers more conservatively.
but use similar and newer tech found in 80's high power tweets
But as far as a tweeter for high power around 200 watts
With low FS around 7 to 800 ish
and using similar lightweight / aluminum coils,
some aluminum wire , some fluid cooled
and other various fancy tricks for ridiculous power ratings
Made me think of Morel
Morel CAT308
Morel CAT378
Morel ETT48
is only 120 watts, yeah only lol.
2x power than likely most tweeters can handle.
but the design focuses more on a smooth upper response.

Keep in mind the Morel TSCT1104
uses a underhung coil.
The gap is 4mm high
and they use a large Neo magnet.
The 2mm coil stays within the gap
So the actual linear excursion
is likely very clean.
good full +/_ 1mm
which is more than 80's D28 at .7 mm
Do they rate it at 300 watts...no 200 watts
But it is very likely a majority of these drivers
out perform 80's tweeters in a heartbeat
big neo magnets and very light titanium coils.
and a FS around 500 Hz
uses a underhung coil.

The D28 has always been a personal favourite of mine. Using only my ears, (not comparing specs), I think the Morel CAT308 gets very close.
Maybe we like Dynaudio tweeters because the are strong units thar were used with first order by Dynaudio ?
Whatever the one I coukd choose today I will pick one without ferrofluid.
Dynaudio tweeters nostalgia is an old thread, but among the best tweeters that often come back, I never read one to be a clear winner?! Okay, they can not all support the same cut offs and slopes.
Often seen : SS 9900, aka the Revelator tweeter ; Hiquphon but 3/4" ; Dynaudio Esotar of different series; some Morel as Dynaudio copy but not as good.
I keep metal domes appart as it is a soft dome topic about the Dynaudios.
Anyone experienced those ones side to side at iso layout (filter and passive parts, frontbaffle)?
