Harmony guitar amp restoration questions

Im Doctoring up my Harmony H304 amp. I tested all the tubes and they are good and the amp works just a lil' bit crusty sounding.
Thought I would start with Caps. So here are my questions:
1. The schematic doesn't specify using polarized caps. Thoughts on this especially the filter caps. And where to use electrolytic and poly.

2. Can I substitute 3- 20uf caps in place of the stock "can"?

3. Should I remove the cap on the Power transformer? (C9) possible death cap???????

Any help with above questions and tips or things to look out for would be appreciated.

C's 5-8 and 10 are all conventional electrolytics.

Of course.

3. Should I remove the cap on the Power transformer? (C9) possible death cap???????

That's usually done along with the three-prong cord conversion.

Do not underestimate the power of cleaning. A can of Caig D5 and a toothbrush will cure a lot of ills.
