Hi
I am trying to fix this amp that I bought from a second hand dealer. When I press the power switch, an orange LED lights up. That's it. The display and the amp appears totally dead. With the switch on, there are 2 sets of secondary voltages present at the main board and also at the front board. On the main board, there is a point indicating "+5V CPU Protection" and when I measured it, there is +5V present. Does this mean that the amp is on protect mode or the amp is switched to standy mode using a remote. I don't see any relay, which is normally used on most amps to turn on the power to the circuits. Can someone advice me on where to start troubleshooting as I have totally no idea how the turn "ON" and "OFF" circuits operate.
Thanks
Carlos

Hi, sorry to mention something, after the amp is on for about a minute, I touched the CPU and it feels hot. Is it normal. Can a shorted component in the output circuit cause this.
