Good day to everybody!
I've been wandering these boards for a while now. I'm looking to get into the world of projectors, and I just bought my first OHP, an Elmo capable of 4000 lumens. FXP Halogen, which I know are hot and low color temperature etc., but oh well, it's my first project.
I want to use the projector primarily for Wii and Xbox usage (both run at 640x480 but support widescreen) and the occasional dvd. For these reasons, I've been looking at getting an LCD tv and disassembling it, because these inputs are what I need. Are there any TVs that people recommend? I'm looking at this TV from overstock:

It's a small panel, but 800x600 resolution, inexpensive, and it seems like it would be easy to take apart. Hannspree makes a bunch of TVs in this series, and they all use the same panel, but they all use different novelty casings. The TV controls and inputs are located in slightly different locations on each model, but they all use the same LCD. For them to manufacture different controller boards and cables for use in almost identical TVs seems somewhat irrational, leading me to believe that perhaps the cables are slightly longer and more durable in this TV than in others, making disassembly more reasonable.
Does anyone have any experience with disassembling LCD TVs? Does this seem reasonable?
