I have a HagUsb and wonder if anyone has tried this one I found on Ebay? It looks solid and I think has some decent components, but just wonder if there would be any improvement over the Hag? It seems great value as well.
Thanks

its speculation, but i think your hag unit will be better.
i know the grass is always greener, but why trade in from a well respected unit like the hag to a chinese kit?
if you are looking at an upgrade in the same kind of price league go with another well known unit, trends UD-10.1 or lite with PSU - i prefer it to the hag i had!

Thanks for the suggestion.
I have been hoping that some 24/96 alternatives would emerge from these small, bespoke companies, but the ones are very expensive.
The Musiland Lilo III had me excited, due to it's low jitter USB implementation, but then I heard that the SPDIF Chip is so bad that it would add loads of jitter back at the other end.
I am now considering the ESI U24 XL or a Firewire device. As I am a musician, all the other bits (ADC/Mic Pre amps etc) are a bonus too.
I just hope that these devices are as good as the HagUsb, Trends or PopPulse with 16/44.1 material?

The hag unit is very good (and not exp.)
You can maybe exchange given clk with new Tent xo (12MHz)?
with sonic improvements...

I am happy with the Hag unit, but I have nothing else to compare it too. However, I do need something that can handle high resolution audio. The JAVS units seem good and I am looking at Firewire devices from M-Audio etc.
I think my Hag cost about £120, which seems a little expensive considering the price of other units.
I will consider a clock upgrade though. How much of an improvement to jitter/sound quality do you think it will have.
Thanks

Not sure,
but for that money, You can count to even slight impr. would be the nice...
And chances for better sonics is just higher...
So it could make a sense?
