H2 to jFET tone?

Can I convert my Fiat Punto to 3-ton pick-up?

Yes, I can

2 years of work, then scrap what I did and go buy 3-ton pick-up

or, you'll rather have answer as this:

every construction is result of iterative process of optimization of basic circuit

you're simply taking wrong basic circuit to start with

and yes, Pass Labs section runs like this - having fun while learning new things

Anyone can google tone control schematics. I did and built a jfet pre and placed the H2 circuit after that. I would rather not add on another stage if the H2 can be made to boost bass, treble or drop mids while still giving loads of euphonic distortion. I have a tube circuit can do both tone and gain plus h2 distortion and would be nice to have a jfet version

Thing is that I don't know what to ask, so just asked if some H2 units can be modded to pre/tone. If it can, then I'll try to learn to mod mine. Since it can't, further is pointless

If you use a volume potentiometer with a center tap, you can use 'passive' bass and treble control as in the Onkyo 9711. This works on the principle of an adjustable loudness filter, with all its advantages/disadvantages.
I did try passive tone controls, but not sure if I did something wrong. Sounded very dead

point is - for 3way tone control, to make it at least semi-decent, you need two gain stages

H2, be it V1 or V2 - that's just one gain stage

so, plenty of hardware missing
Can some H2 units
I can fit three H2 units in the slot if the PCB can be repurposed or if the kits make for a good start in parts. But are you done with the wooden stove yet?

Anyway. What I really want to do is be able to cut mids and treble only and have some good gain plus a volume control and lots of H2 distortion
