Hi everyone.
How would one go about grounding the chassis of bas and middrivers to real ground?
www.holfi.dk
have done this, and it's suppose to work great....I'm currently building a complete new 7.1 setup and would, for the front/center try this out.
Pointers anybody? Thanks in advance...
Kind regards Per.

If your amp case is grounded, then you need to add a terminal for the earth return, and this can be as simple as a self tapping screw with a star washer, and just use it as a binding post.
You need to do the same thing with the speaker chassis, you could drill and self tap again, but it might be easier just to scrape off any paint around the back of one of the fixing bolts, and use a couple of washers and an extra nut to attach the ground there. I see no problem with ground loops, so you could just wire up all of your drivers in series, and run just one wire back to the ground on the amp.
I belive Tannoy do this on their high end speakers as well.
