Hi all,
i've been lurking on this site for months learning and understanding. This is such a wonderful resource for sharing ideas and thoughts -i really like that.
a bit about myself, i'm a computer guy who spends all my time in the digital realm. Going into the world of analog is relaxing to me, but i have to admit that it's probably the mid 80's since i constructed an amplifier or worked on a filter.
I worked as a sound engineer and that's what financed my education when i was in my early 20's. Most of my work was PA for demonstrations and the occasional concert (demonstrations and protests pays better than concerts). I was young and my father had contacts in the industry, however i always had my passion for digital technology so sound was never a passion -computers where and thats where my career has been.
now as i'm older i decided to start building analog circuits again. I've done a ton of circuits using digital technology and as a hobby at home the analog world is a bit like back to basics for me. I just picked up a kit for a tube amp which i think will be tremendously fun and i'll probably go and build a set of speakers next.
enough about me, just wanted to say hi and join in with the good people on this forum.
cheers,
Par

Hello Par and welcome to the forum! As you've seen, there is plenty here to keep yo busy - analog and digital. Starting with the tube amp kit and moving on to the speakers sounds like a good plan.
Have fun!

Hi Par - and Welcome to diyAudio!!!😀😀😀
Learn some proper safety precautions when working around the tube gear as the voltages involved are much higher than in the digital gear. A logic state of "1" could very well be 300 to 600 volts and I promise that it will get your attention!
The good news is that there is a lot of good folks around here that can help you find "the way".
