I'm Tim from Germany. I'm 44 years old and I'm interested in Hifi since my teenage years. If you'd compare Hifi to a drug I would be in the "problematic consumption" stage. ;-)
It started around ten years ago with an obsessive interest in everything vintage.. mostly from the "golden era of Hifi" in the 70s. I bought (and sold) a lot of japanese Hifi gear from that era. I still own some rare classics like the Kenwood LS-1900, Sony TA-E88, etc.
In recent years my interest shifted to old full-range drivers, open baffles and tube amplification.

I really understand your interest in audio gear from that time. I was at one time in love with 70's era analog tuners from Sansui, Yamaha, Revox, Luxman, etc. and bought and sold quite a few of them. Sadly FM is not what it used to be, so I am out of that game. Now I just listen to hi-res streaming audio and build dipole (slim OB) speakers. We probably have about the same taste in music. Cheers!
