Gotta give in - can't finish my DIY projector

I got pretty deep into a 7" Lulliput proj earlier this year and then broke my leg pretty bad, like two titanium plates and 18 screws bad. Once I got back more or less on my feet I tried to get back into the projector project to complete the last 10%, and found I just don't have the ability to finish it. To add insult to injury I hosed my panel. So, I am offering up the entire project plus a couple spare parts, for cheap

wow, did you build the projector shown mounted on ceiling in picture?

very very professional.... how did you build the tilting mount?

anyways, how did you break the lcd panel?

i did a dumb move on my first lcd panel, i had it out and working, then i put it on my bed and went to clean the room, forgot it was on bed and put the weight of my arm on it and broke it..

damnit....

Thanks for the complement. Yes, I built the box shown hanging from the ceiling, which is the same box shown in the other photos. The front panel was scheduled to be replaced with one with a bigger hole for the Delta lens. The light engine box and the lamp and fan controller boxes are Bud type equipment boxes.

The tilting mount is just a couple of 3/8" bolts through the balance point of the box and the lower ends of the struts, with fender washers and nuts to lock the angle of tilt. I slotted the mounting holes for the ceiling bolts (which run into the ceiling joists), so I could fine tune the image size.

As to the demise of the panel, I read the thread about removing the antiglare filter and decided to try it. Unfortunately after taking great care to mount the panel initially, I wasn't careful enough when I removed the panel from its mount and I stressed the flat cable that connects to the panel. I also chipped the polarizing filter on one corner when I tried to remove the antiglare filter before it had soaked long enough. Perhaps someone who knows more than I do about the panel and cable could repair the damage.

oh yeah, i forgot about the anti glare thing on those liliputs..

the liliputs are kinda expensive so that sucks trying to remove it.

i guess there are pro's and cons to very lcd panel that we try to use for our projector projects...

when is someone gonna sell lcd's with no backlight and a simple driver board?
