Ive aquired a pair of these but cant find much info. Found the origional page in the goodmans catalogue for the standart axiette but not the twin.
Anyone know anything about them, or got any ideas what to do with them? They are currently in goodmans spec boxes.
This is all ive found so far...

Well, i think these are going into open baffles.
Can anyone give me some pointers on size and shape and what effect they have?
Thanks.
They may end up being helped out at the frequency extremes but we'll see.

Hi, some further links:
http://www.linkwitzlab.com/
The following is in german but may be interesting to you though:
http://www.dipolplus.de/
I heard rumours that someone is working on an english
translation of that page ...
The speaker you are using seem to be vintage ?
Are those in a good condition ?
They look damned interesting !
Have you got further technical information about that driver ?
Please report on your ongoing project, i am curious ...
Cheers

found these specs for the axiette 8, dont know how different they will be for twin axiettes but all goodmans have done is add a parasitic tweeter.
frequency range 40-18,000
power handling 6 watts
fundamental resonance 65c/s
Flux density 13,500 gauss
Total flux 53,000 maxwells
Voice coil 1" diameter aluminium
Impendance 15/16 ohms
chassis diecast
overall diameter 21cm
overall depth 9.2cm
reflex enclosure volume 3000 cu.ins
baffle hole diameter 17.8cm
fixing holes 4, 19.4 pcd
nett weight 1.8 kg
They are in good condition. I had to repair one of the voice coils but they work fine now.

Hi,
for the estimation of the baffle size, it would be
helpful to measure Qe/Qm/Qts .
If the driver has typical BR Parameters with Qts< 0.4 it
will be difficult to get around a compensation for the
deep bass range when used in OB ...
What about max linear excursion ?
Cheers
