Hi All
I'm begining to look into building a SS amp of around 75-100W/8 ohm.
Think it will be a Self inspired setup.
As output devices I have settled on on pair of 2SC2922 / 2SA1216, as this is what I have in my drawer from an older LC Audio project.
For drivers, I might go for either 2SA1606 / 2SC4159 or MJE15030 / MJE15031.
For the VAS section I'n nor sure yet .... not sure how much power is needed ... must do ome simulation!
But for the input section I want to use some SMT (SOT-23) devices, as I'll go for as many SMT components as possible to minimize PCB size, possible ground loops etc.
But I'm quite sure which bjt's to go for.
Any ideas??? 😕
MMBT5401 / MMBT5551 could be a choise, but I guess there must be some newer and better types around.

Another thing:
I have an LC-Audio "The End" mk 2 with ULC circuits, but I can no longer find any documentation on the net .... does anyone out ther have schematics, building book or something?? ...... I want to reduce the quiescent current, so I'd like to look a bit at the schematics before getting down to business.

Third thing .... I know and understand that the schematic for the AKSA amp is kept of the net, but does anyone have a description or drawing of the topology? .... from all the rave reviews it seems like an interesting amp.
From the pictures on the net it looks like a pnp dif stage with current mirror and a current generator based on a bjt and a geen LED. The VAS stage seems to be a single bjt feeding the driver/output stage. Does the output run with MOSFETs?
