Good cable for making Stereo RCA Phono cables

I hope this is the right area for this question,

Anyhow I am wanting to making up some Stereo RCA phono cables, I have found the following online:

Van damme Hi-fi Twin Interconnect 268-500-000 Shotgun Figure 8 Cable

and also

Van damme Pro Grade XKE Instrument / Guitar Cable 268-011-000

The XKE cable is much cheaper and by the look of it seems almost identical except being one cable rather than shotgun cable?

Would either of these be suitable as RCA cables or is there something better out there? I am planning to pair with Rean RCA plugs soldered with silver solder.

Thanks!

The ones you linked to earlier are better than the silver cables, and to solder silver plated copper you need to use a solder with silver in it, preferably tin/lead/silver. The silver plating will have no audible effect...

Thanks Marce, I have just ordered the
Van damme Pro Grade XKE Instrument / Guitar Cable 268-011-000

and the rean plugs, from reading online there seems little advantage to silver solder so i'm just going to use 60/40 tin/lead solder that I have already. Hopefully it will do the trick,

thanks!
