Long ago, I had a pair of ProAc Studio 3s. Lovely things that I had to sell when I started Real Life and living in a London bedsit. I have long regretted selling them (to a friend, so they were loved - I'm not sure they survived his kids' pokey fingers but they had a good innings).
Anyway - they had removable baffles. I believe the dealer who sold them to me had replaced a blow tweeter. They were also ported.
I'm more interested in sealed. I can see how a template and some choice between TNuts, Well Nuts, and threaded wood insert nuts can allow for removable baffles.
What to use as a gasket material?
I guess something thin and flat and a bit rubbery/spongy glued across the face of the fixed inner surface?
Can anyone recommend something?
I see also that the 40mm M5 rawlpugs will handle 20-30mm thickness, without rebate to allow for the flange. So I guess that would work for 12+18 with a flange rebate and maybe a washer.
Anyone tried that?
Clearly safer for 9mm on the cabinet, fixed, and 18mm removable to allow driver rebates. Is it strong enough?

Neoprene closed cell foam
Struggling to find it less than 1.5mm thick. I guess I would prefer more like 0.5mm of a plastic?
Have to think about it. I guess it matters less if the sides of the cabinet project past the edges of the front (the ProAcs were recessed).
Thanks, anyway.
Speaker seal foam tape looks a likely candidate. What to use as a gasket material?

P.S. Its thickness compresses in use.
Re Rawlplugs etc. - there's a discussion currently taking place on this thread:
Wood screws vs wellnuts vs T-nuts
Ooops! Sorry, that's your thread!!!

It *might* work with the Wilmslow cabs in that other thread.
