gallien krueger 800rb no sound

The problem I have is no sound. I hear a pop noise when I turn it on
so I dont think its the output transisters. but I am still not getting sound when I plug a bass or guitar in. im thinking input transisters but I dont know. please some one help!!!!!!!

It could be any number of things. Do you have schematics and at least rudimentary test equipment, i.e. multimeter and signal generator (a scope would be nice too)? If not, I would take it to someone who does (and knows how to use it).
