As I am raising money for a TV upgrade, I am now offering a modified Sony SCD CE-595 SACD/CD Changer. It is refurbished and modified by yours truly. 🙂
The modifications include:
1. Auricap Tweak
2. Swenson Output Stage Modification w/ 1uf Auricaps and cryogenically treated Vampire CM1F chassis mount RCA's. This is only for the Left and Right Channel. The Surround, Center, and Subwoofer channels remain stock and operational.
3. All stock power supply electrolytics replaced with Nichicon Muse KZ and FX.
The modifications bring this player to a whole other level of performance.
The background becomes much, much darker. The sound stage widens. The Bass tightens and deepens. The presentation becomes less tizzy and much more musical.
Given the cost of the unit plus the parts to modify the unit, I am asking $200 shipped (w/insurance) to the CONUS. This includes the modified CE-595, the remote and the original box. I prefer paypal (fees apply).
