FS: NOW CHEAPER P.Millett Starving Student hybrid headphone amp
I am selling my Starving Student amplifier
I built it using pretty good parts (non-starving version 🙂)
Alps RK27 pot, Tungsram NOS 19J6 (I have boxes), Nichicon Fine Golds in CRC filter, coupling caps Jantzen Superior Z-Cap, output caps Nichicon Muse, DALE RN60 resistors, fets are Vishay from Mouser, Neutrik gold RCAs. Hammond enclosure (with bottom plate - just not on photos) + Cisco good quality 48V PSU. All parts are genuine.
Wiring is point to point, with Polish copper conductors 🙂 Ground bus from copper wire.
Works 100% - I used it for maybe 200 hours. Zero hum or noise. Extremely transparent, clean sound.
Tubes are slightly microphonic (when you touch them). Not noticable when using. This amp has quite a headroom so that justifies that.
It can drive every headphones 32-600 ohm.
Price is quite a steal - I sell it for the price it cost me to build it + few beers.
That is $165. Will ship worldwide - please ask for cost - I will calculate.
WILL SELL FOR $145
