This MB-X is in great condition. The faceplate is in PERFECT condition. And you should expect no less for a CD player of this quality. I like this unit more than the CD-700 for many reasons, but I'll list the few important ones:
Offboard DAC. This allows the user to install this CD player up front and run a digital cable from the front unit to the DAC. Meaning you can install your DAC inches away from your amplifier (no matter WHERE in the car it is!), making the analog lines as short as possible. Improves the potential for noise free performance!
6-disc in dash changer. And six is better than one, right? 🙂
multiple LED color choices allow the user to select a scheme that matches their dashboard best. red/amber/blue/white. Perfect for most cars on the market today. Even A VW that frustrates anyone looking for a cd player to match blue gauges with red needles!
Source select module that allows for multiple auxiliary inputs. There are three RCA inputs to the DAC. digital SPDIF from the main unit, an analog AUX, and a third source. The third source is selectable digital or analog, and is also linked to the CD changer control cable. This allows the installation of a CD changer (digital OR analog), an external digital source, or second external analog source. Very cool!
Will also come with an MF-51 as modified by suggestions found on this forum. plays any CD under the sun and is bulletproof. The MF-51 case does have a few scratches.
Everything operates flawlessly and again, you should demand no less. This is not one of the questionable units you might get buying NIB. This is a KNOWN GOOD transport. Never failed ever in my car.

Comes with the transport, the DAC, the CD changer, changer cable, DAC extension cable (you will NEVER see anyone else ever sell this with a nak), remote, original box, wire harness, and misc small stuff like faceplate case, mounting hardware, trim rings, etc. No OEM box for the MF-51.
I am asking $900 shipped for everything to set up an 11 CD all digital top shelf cd stereo.
Email is the best way to contact me, Please ask for references, applications notes, any question at all, do not hesitate. spitvalve at yahoo dot com.
