I know this is going to drive you crazy, but maybe if you can find a good quality tweeter with the same faceplate size and sensitivity and replace both.
no way.....it means denaturalze the loudspeakers my aim is spend as less as possible for an original replacement! thanks anyway
Will Revel sell you just the dome and voice coil unit as a rebuild kit? This would be an easy repair.

I was going to say the same thing. It looks like a slightly customised version of the 98. There is a strong possibility that the Revel dome/coil assembly is identical to that of the normal scan part. €400 is ridiculous for a replacement though.
Contact Scanspeak, probably they can advice you what could be current model which you can buy. Or buy it to get diaphragms.
Another advice: you need to change tweeters in pairs, or at least measure them after replacement to be sure that new and old are identical.
no model, from classic line replace the Revel one, no diaphragms is for sale as spare part, the only thing is to have some luck in finding a second hand unit like seen in the near past on Audiogon, or buy e new one!

I just rang Madisound on your behalf, but they have not had replacement voice coil assemblies for this tweeter for a while. Adam is going to get back to me in the next couple of days about 4 Ohm voice coil replacement options from Scan-Speak that will fit...

not having replay from S.S. I made a phone call.... well the D2904/9800 from classic line is the customizes tweeter used for the Salon, the only two visible differences are the dust cover on the dome and the second magnet for shilding. On monday someone from technical dep. will tell me if the electrical data are customized, if they are I will quit and buy the Revel one!
