FRD/ZMA Files for AE SBP15, AE TD6M, AE TD 12H

Hi at all

I am looking for FRD and ZMA files for above drivers. Has anyone measured these drivers? I have only the FR graph (without impedance) for the TD6M but nothing for the other drivers. @John from AE Speakers: do you have this data for the drivers? I figured I'd post it right here if anyone else needed the data as well.

Thanks a lot for your help!🙂

Assuming that you don't own these drivers then I suggest that you use the tracing tool in VituixCad to create your own frd +zma's from pics ( it's an excellent tool ) .

Here are the TD6M files to get you started;

Hi Earl

Many thanks for the Graphs. The CAD Tool is very comprehensive. This take some serious Time, to understand that right🙄......
I have the FR from AE speakers for the TD6 (see attachment).

If I now look at the FR curves from the manufacturer, they differ from your curves. Have you measured them with the chassis mounted in the cabinet? Close mic?

I opened my project in another thread, but haven't gotten to it in a while. I will post an update in the next few days because the setup has changed significantly:

Midfield/Mainmonitor Project with AE Drivers

The driver were measured in the free field when installed. The measurement with REW coincides (plus or minus🙂) with AE's lab measurement with the TD6 (distance Mic = diameter of TD6). The Dip and bump after @ 740hz is the result of diffraction loss. (i think so🙄)
For me, the other drivers are more interesting. Of course the cabinet influences the FR. That's why an FRD file would be interesting to compare the real life situation with the file and thus look at the interactions of the cabinet. Is my thinking right here?🙂

See attachment, Measurement in the free field:

Many thanks for your help

No, the traces that I posted aren't mine ( I don't own any of these drivers ).
The pics I posted showed up from a Google search.

FYI, there are a bunch of software tools ( I believe VituixCAD has one built in ) that will show the effects of adge diffraction as well as baffle size.

Explore VituixCAD's capabilities. From all reports, it's the most comprehensive bit of design software available in the donation-ware world.
