this is a new episode of my last thread.
I have to decide quickly which driver i'll use my fullrange speakers. ( I sold my speakers yesterday 🙂 )
I'm fascinated by these two fostex models.
FX120: 2 mm of Xmax, good power handling, nice response and nice rolloff at 18khz ; good off-axis response and a possible vented enclosure , tuned at 57-60 hz, 10-11 litres volume. the BAD news is the quite high price and no real feedback from other users.
FE108EZ is not too expensive, it is the improved version of a famous and appreciated driver BUT has 0.28 (!) mm Xmax, needs a TQWT. However there are quite a lot of projects and comments for this driver on the internet.
Now, my question : Is a vented 10 lt enclosure +FX120 performing well as a FE108ez in a tqwt ? I think that being the driver so small, the mid-bass response might play a big role.
here is the link to fostex parameters :

thank you
