I am currently using a pair of FF105wk for fronts in a home theater setup and want to move those to the rear and get a pair of FF125wk for the fronts to get better power handling and efficiency. I was just going to build the Fostex recommended BR enclosures, but thought I would check with you all first. My receiver's crossover can only be set to 120hz max., and that's where I have the 105's crossed, and I am pleased with the results. With this set up, does it really matter what enclosure I use, since the subwoofer is handling lower the frequencies?
However, I am also toying with the idea of going with FH3 or a Metronome so I can use the 125's in a 2.0 setup, where I would like to get a better bass response. But from my research, I have found only one person having experience with the Metronome and no one with the FH3. Does that mean most people are using the FF125wk with a BR enclosure?

Cal uses it in the Cornu - a BLH.

Those look really interesting but would be impractical in my AV room. I've seen people doing a BLH with ff85 and 105wk but not with 125.

MJK's Fostex FF125wk BLH project
Yes, thanks, I did see that but from what I remember the OP went with a different driver.

Hi, Dave. Have you had the chance of listening to the FF125wk/FH3 combination/ I would be interested in hearing your impressions.
We also have them im milli & deciSize Fonken.
I guess this brings it back to my original question. With the FF125wk speakers crossed at 120hz, does the enclosure really matter? In other words, will the FF125wk pretty much sound the same in a BR, Fonken, or BLH? Could you PM me with prices for the FF125wk Fonken flat packs; I can't seem to find those on your Website? Thanks!

Ideally you'd want response to at least a half-octave below that (assumming a high order XO), you won't get that sealed. Secondary effects such as defraction and internal relections will play an effect but there would be no need for maximum LF extention.

Send me an email, i'll send you the order info pdf, which has a bit more info then that Flat-pak thread.
