Fostex FE206E vs Jordan Jx92s

My speaker is Fostex FE206E back-loaded horn. I am considering to add a Jordan JX92s TL speaker into my system.

If you have experiences of both, please point out the comparison between the two speaker.

Totally different beasts. Provided you've enough power and not too large a room, the Jordan's are so much more refined: smoother, sweeter, more detailed, nuanced, melodic. Have heard Jordans in the VTL box and in back horns; heard the 206e in a couple different back horns.

total different.

206 dynamic but no real bass if you dont use
a very large horn, better take as a satellite horn,
like TRUMPET or SCHALMEI.

look your climate zone, humidity?

here is the jx better
look the TUBA horn, one of the best solutions
for the Jordan with bass, never to realise by the
Fostex, but less max. SPL.

Have a prowl round the PassDIY site. The First Watt article has a technical comparison of a bunch of full range drives, Fostex and Jordan included.

I've owned both. In my system the 206 sounds more dynamic. with plenty of detail. The Jordan is an amazing little driver, I just got bored with it. I had the Jordan in a .25 cu ft ported box. Probably sounds better in a TL.
