Fostex FE103 "memorial" ??

Does anybody know how these differ from the current Fostex FE103En's?

They were a Japan-only special edition version of the old FE103E. There may have been a few minor changes, but nothing major TTBOMK.

They sold quickly

Well so much for that!
They sold for US$160 within a few hours.
Hmmm the price for 2 x new FE103En in Australia is currently AUS$110.

So the buyer obviously thought they were worth quite a premium.

The old-style yellowish cone, a rubber boot over the magnet, maybe a bit bigger magnet...

Collectability factor. Looking at the physical dimensions, I suspect the extra 8mm diameter on the magnet compared to the FE103E is entirely down to the thicker rubber boot. The stated Qo is 0.35 which is v. close to the 0.36 Qt of the FE103E, so I doubt there's any more motor power.

Forgot to mention; the frame on the Memorial was blue. Well, blue-ish.
