I have just bought asome Fostex 206FE's which I have boxed and I am very impressed with them. Is it possible to put a phase plug in them (in the same way as Beauhorn) although perhaps not as large as theirs. It seems to me that it would be held in place with a screw in the back of it which is then held in place by the magnet.
I don't know if this is how Beauhorn do it, but I wondered if this were possible and if it would cause any damage.

These things work superbly -measurable and audible improvements. Well worth the minimal expense. Easy to fit too.
Scottmoose. The site referred to by Kristleifur is asking $50 (USA)for 2 wooden phase plugs for the 206's. Do you know of anywhere in the U.K that sells these or anywhere that sells them cheaper ?
The $50 is for the special edition FE206ES-R, not the regular FE206E. As noted above, it's only $35 for the plugs for the regular 206, or roughly £20. Actually, if you bought the plugs from Dave (planet10) you'd get them pretty quickly because I've got a batch of them here in the UK to speed up delivery times (Dave's a good friend of mine). When the order is placed by someone based in the UK, Dave lets me know, and I ship the plugs so they should arrive next day, or within 2 days at the most. Shameless plug (sorry, couldn't resist): these things work beautifully. Well worth the minimal cost. I've got them in my own 167s and they cleaned up the vocals in particular a treat. Several of the lads over at the World Designs forum are now running them, with unanimous praise. Bob Brines also has a short review of them on his site, with some measurements of a specific instance of their use.
Scottmoose. I assume you have heard from Dave that I placed an order for two black phase plugs ? When will they be sent ?
Look forward to hearing from you.
