For Sale: JBL E145 pair of 16" underhung
These are considered by many to be the best sounding bass/midbass woofers JBL ever made and are in fact direct descendents of the fabled JBL 150-4C used in the Paragon and Hartsfield that command 5-figures. Surprisingly, I found I preferred the sound quality of the E145 to the similar alnico K145, a finding others have stated online as well. The E145 was also used in the JBL flagship speaker "JBL DD55000" (under code name "150-4H", which you can hear good audio video recordings of by inputting that search term into Youtube. These woofers can be used horn loaded, vented or sealed.
They have close DCR's. Since they came out of a matching pair of cabinets, the OEM cones are both the same color, aged exactly the same and sound the same. Frames are in very good shape cosmetically. Minor note, but one unit has the round metal speaker connectors and the other unit has the square plastic speaker connectors. Because they are so heavy, I will probably only be willing to ship within the US. Will be packed securely and use FedEx Ground for safe handling. Local pickup in SoCal is also welcome.
Please PM me for photos and with any further questions.

Just joined this forum today and saw your post. Still have the E145's. How many
ohms are they? I have an old Kustom 2X15 rig that needs two 4-ohm or 16-ohm
speakers.
