I have been seriously thinking of doing big horns this way. Form it up, glue it and then truck bed liner, that's it.
What do you think?

Dont know but that would mean using vapor barrier instead.Would the solvent in the truck liner melt the foam?

Depends which truck liner coating, and which foam.
Well of course Arnie and that is why we are all here for wise council, not so wise council yeah sayers and nay sayers to postulate. In the end we will do it right. (Hopefully)

Yeah, I'm thinking Celotex or similar foil sheathed insulation board like Weems 'taught' us to make 'el cheapo' folded TLs, BLHs for high Qt systems back in the mid '50s.

I would suspect the solvent in the spray-on liner. A prudent course would be to spray a scrap piece of board to see what happens. Harbor Freight sells a roll-on liner, which may (or may not ) be a different formulation.
Parts Express sells a roll-on texturizing coat (I forget the name) which I believe is acrylic-based. That may be a way to go. I'm considering it for prettying up a pair of ganky-looking particle board cabinets, so that if they must be black, they can be at least "black but comely".
Edit - whoa - I just checked out Parts Express, and they not only have the Dura Tex coating, but some damping compounds made by the same company. These may be a better thing to use on the horns. All seem to be water-based, so likely ok for foam core. Search for Dura Tex.
