Fisher 500B Comparison

I am new to tube amps. Recently, I built a K12g with most of the upgrades I found described (Auricaps, snubbers, etc.) I liked the result so much that I purchased a reconditioned Fisher 500B.

I like the 12g better. I think the music from the K12 has more depth and clarity. But I have bad hearing. The 500B seems muddy with some music. Although, the 500b is better with music with heavy bass.

I use a Cowon S9 as a music source and the speakers are 96db full range speakers.

Just wondered what some of your thoughts are. Maybe it's just "of course the 12g is better" or "your hearing must be worse than you thought!"

Thanks for any feedback.
