Here are some pictures of my finished project. I have build my DDC so I can feed my May KTE true I2S. It’s build around a a Raspberry Pi4 and I use Ian Canada component. From the tranfo, I go to a ultra low noise linear PSU (LinearPi) and go in DC to the PurePi that give me pure DC. I then feed the StudioPi Pro. On the left side of the StudioPi I have an Amanero Combo384 and the Rasbery Pi 4 and on the right side I have the reclocker FifoPi Q7 and the Hdmi Pi Pro. I also installed the touch scrren to control my input. The case is a Nagra style case, it goes well with the amp I have built from ICE Power module.
This DDC can work with my HTPC with ROOn or JRiver or it can work alone and stream from the RaPi and Volumio. I can also external Hdd directly in this DDC. The sound is simply outstanding with the Holo May

Your DDC looks very nice. Congratulations!
I like the new touch screen. Very cool. Can you share the source code with other community members?
What DAC are your using? How do you like the sound? Are you going to upgrade the clocks?
Thanks for sharing.

It's open source so everybody can use and modify for free 🙂. You can put a note just to indicate where it is originally from. That's all.

Ian, I use this DDC with my PC wich rum either ROON or JRiver to stream my Music from a NAS. Or I can use it directly since I Have Volumio on the RasPi. I send all signal without any over sampling to my dac, an Holo Audio May KTE. NOS on the May either. The mix with the DDC and the May is so perfect. I have replace my dead dCS Elgar with this and don’t regret it one second. Ample staging, precision of timbers, and very musical.
I have sent you my modified code by emailThe original IanCanada's source code is here

can you tell me more about changing the clock please?
OCXO or SC-CUT would be the best clocks. But will be expensive. If you don't have that great clocks by now, you can try some good phase noise clocks at higher frequency.
I will share my experiences with upgrade DDC clocks soon. Just hope I have more time.
Good weekend.

I had a dCS Elgar plus as a DAC for many year before it die afteer a big storm with many electrical issue. I then went to a Holo Audio May kte. I was using the USB input on the May, witch is good, but I tried the I2S input and it was so different, I looked around for different solution and stick with the Ian Canada one
Very nice. I have some questions though. Is it really a DDC (USB in and I2S out), or a NAA (connected to the network via Ethernet)? If it is a DDC, can this work with a HTPC running Roon + HQplayer upsampling everything to DSD512? Any drivers needed in the HTPC?
Hi Roetger, yes it’s a true DDc, it does go from the USB out of the HTPC and goes to the I2S of my DAC. As a matter of fact, it’s runminf fine with Roon. Since I am using an Amanero Combo384 as the USB in in my DDC, you will need the Amanero Dirver for Windows. I prefer the ASIO driver.
