Hey people
My OHP finally came! its really rather bright!, anyways ehre's the following specs of me system.
LOOK!
http://www.onlinething.com/power
Panel
-----
3M 6150 panel
16 mil colours
100:1 contrast
800x600
cool features like freeze, timer, magnify etc.
Ohp
------
Made by CTI
Fresnel is glass I think, it has a reflector and condensor
Takes 400 watt halogen bulbs
4,300 lumens
Replacement bulbs £5.99
Screen
-------
Bed Sheet
Ok so it finally arrived after months of looking and some research I finally received my OHP. Wow was I impressed, hooked it all up and it worked.
Just check the pics below!
http://www.onlinething.com/power
I would rate the picture as very good, brightness as good for a bed sheet, when on a dense white surface colour, brightness and contrast are all improved greatly. THe images must be about 10 foot diagonal and could very easily be more, I can view it during the day with quite a lot of ambient light in the room.
I aim to paint my wall white allowing a far better picture, note the sheet used is very thin and not flat so I am very impressed.
Total payed £155 in p&p
Sources Ebay
Finally: Go the panel on ohp route, as for halogen bulbs, 75 hr life at £5.99 is pretty darn good, I estimate 1 maybe 2 films a week, 5 hours use a week, 52 weeks a year - 250 hours = 3 and a bit bulbs = £22
2 years till upgrade
= £44 lamp use
MH setup would be like £125 which is 6 years use with halogen bulbs and 1500 hours in halogen useage.
Anyways I am pleased!, for the future, better screen (probs painted wall) stop light leakage, watch lots of movies!
Thanks for looking, any revies of my results much appreciated and do any of the MH heads oppose my halogen opinioons, oh and the colour is almost white, my ohp has fringe control VERY USEFUL! means the yellow tinged edges are not there when near the top fresnel.
lol I ramble too much
Oh and no hotspots at all!
Regards
Joe
