OK, so it's not my art but a bunch of fixtures to display someone else's work. Still was cool to pull it off in one seven day period.

That's awesome, congrats!
You have to share details of the construction.
What's the orange machine with the giant drill bit?

The orange machine is a robot that is used mostly for machining 3d sculptures from foam for movie sets and the like. It is not mine.... The owners of the shop cnc routed all the parts for me and were nice enough to allow me to do the assembly at their site. There were about 600 parts total with only a couple that needed a redo. I am very impressed with their capabilities. I will be using them in the future.
Thanks guys. Came out nice enough...There was no time to fuss over each piece. Very short time from the go ahead to the deadline to install. After getting material and machining there were only 8 days for assembly, finishing, delivery and install. I spent two days doing nothing but spraying primer.
Shot over 10,000 staples in a 2 1/2 day period and got three from the last before I drove one into my finger.

Awesome work, especially given the time frame. Good looking shop......now where do the speaker drivers fit in all of this ? 🙂
You have a robot drill?
No. The shop photos are from:

They are an awesome group of people.
Wow, so they are painted then?
That's a lot of work...
Better than the spray glue for a laminate I suppose.

yes, painted here are a few pics of the gallery with the "art" being displayed. I use the word art loosely. I imagine the Hass brothers and the gallery owners laugh all the way to the bank when they sell this stuff.

What's the price tag? I'm sure they say similar things about power cords and interconnects
I'm impressed and inspired by your work! I'm preparing to build lighted soffits in my kitchen that are similar to your design (only thinner and attached to the ceiling). Personally I think your displays are more "artistic" than the, um, "objects'' they're supporting. To each his own, though. 🙄
I'll second that one. 🙄Personally I think your displays are more "artistic" than the, um, "objects'' they're supporting. 🙄
Display fixture business has been hit hard by the slowdown in retail for department stores.
(Like Macy's closing 100 stores.)
Congrats on the fine work!
