fast tight small OB sub

ok, i already have a Tannoy TS8 sub, it is quite good apart from it booms slightly with some music, is it possible to make a relatively small OB sub with two 8 or 10" drivers that were powered by a power-amp (aslong as it had the same S-N ratio as my primare amp...) so that it would produce the same volume level as my main speakers (Kef XQ1's) so the sub would have to have a sensitivity of 89dB....

is this possible or too much hastle?

i dont want much sub bass, just flat and tight to around 40-45Hz to fill in below my Kefs.

Hi,

Booms at all positions of the LF extension control ?

Shouldn't really, as its a variable sealed box sub you'd
expect one extreme of the settings to be "overtight".

Could be a room mode problem, parametric dip EQ needed.
