Hi Guys,
Brand new here so let me pop in with a question im pretty sure one of you diy pro's knows the answer too 🙂...
Im looking at making an insert switcher ala manley's backbone...right now still in r&d mode...so i was reading manley's manual and they speak of
"Each mother has about 36 relays and a dozen connectors, plus about 4 ICs that feed a fake signal to bypassed inserts. "
Does anybody know why (and how) you would wanna send a fake signal to an insert that is bypassed?
any help and or suggestions appreciated.
cheers,
mis.

So it doesn't know it's being bypassed (inserts like to feel useful).Does anybody know why (and how) you would wanna send a fake signal to an insert that is bypassed?
Or maybe it's just to stop the insert being all like "No Signal Error 401, zap zap error glitch BEEP!"
OK, I'll admit I have no idea what you're talking about.
