I'm making a simple 1 control attenuator. Wondering if anybody knows of a place where I can purchase a faceplate with something like 1-10 to mount behind a single volume control.
Kind of an odd ask, I know.
Does anybody happen to know where I could find this?

There are thin aluminum discs or rectangles, with silk screen.
Look for accessories at knob mfrs.
KNOB&DIALKITLARGE - KB Electronics - Accessory | Galco Industrial Electronics
Or get a knob with numbers on its skirt (fairly common), and use a single index mark on the panel.

Ah perfect! "dial face plate" were the words I was looking for. I just purchased these: 10pc Rheostat Variac Transformer Potentiometer 0-100 Dial Face Plate Scale Sheet 705353478345 | eBay
I have some Dale pointer knobs that I think will look pretty good with this scheme.
Nice to hear from you again, rayma

Yes, I have some of those round dials, saving them for my small variacs when they get enclosures.
When I started doing this in ´69, all that was available at Electronics shops was horrible hammered greytone blind chassis, and they offered square anodized aluminum mini-plates, with a numbered scale and generic labels such as volume and tone.
Everything you built looked like a 40s or 50s PA amp 🙁
But then I found a guy who had copied Fender Blackface Guitar Amp knobs, which are available today from the Guitar accessories shops:
