Hello,
Nice to be back.... A long time ago in this galaxy I lost the F5X from Patrick... I had to move, and did pack all my projects...; 14 years later 'I'm back'...
and be gentle it's my first try with EasyEDA to draw a board... I hope I didn't make any mistake(s). I will just make a pair of boards to build 2 mono-blocks.
I decided to start with a quarter of the schematic and replicate it 3 times to get to the final version. It's just a thread to share the evolution of the project!

I'd like to rename the thread 'F5-XT' following the advice of EUVL 😉

Alain.
D5 does not exist for the F5X.
Also F5X does not use IRF MOSFETs, for good reasons.
So maybe you want to call it something else, like F5T-X.
Also perhaps you would double check the D-S connection of the MOSFETs.
Cheers,
Patrick

Thanks Patrick,
I did verify the Drain/Source of the mosfets, I did swap Drain/Source of the 2SJ74, it's fixed. (I haven't already ordered the boards...)
( In the meantime I am working on the Ultra High MC/MM phono of Wyn Palmer )
And its OK about the name I'll change it to 'F5-TX'
For the mosfets I have pairs of IRFP240/IRF9140 and 2SK1058/2SJ162...
About the D5's, I want to try Nelsons Turbo version... Just curious!
Thanks for your advise,
Alain.

You will find that 2SK1058/2SJ162 will give you rather high distortion.
Read Nelson's article on the F7.
Maybe that is what you want to build instead.

Which is why I suggested the name F5T-X.

New version...
A new design version V2 for this F5-XT, I am currently testing the Excicon ECW20P20/P20 on a 'F Seven Balanced' prototype. The sim's looks real good!
I will build 2 monoblocs and plan to be able to replace the CI to use either a F Seven or a F5-XT on the same power supply...
