Was looking for a premade phase plug to drop into the fostex 167. Was going to try and find a model rocket nose cone at the local craft store. They didnt have one of those, but they did have these simple wood dolls. Not your traditional shape but was the right size so hey, why not, so put a screw in the end and dropped them in. Sounds great to me but of course ymmv. They are really cheap and you can always plug in a "traditional" one at any time. Plus, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes so one can experiment. Locally they had the "girl" version.
Heres a link to give an idea as to their shapes and dimensions.
Would be curious as to how they measure compared to a "standard" one.

What driver do you have? An FE167e or FE168eS? (eSigma -- eZ is just a bad job of transliteration from the Greek)

The phase plugs Dave offers are a whole lot better. I own 2 pair of them. They fit, work right and look cool.
